"My Brilliant Friend"
I started watching "My Brilliant Friend" when I was in Italy, but since I don't speak fluent Italian, I didn't understand much of what I saw. The costumes were beautiful - they showed a stylish Naples lead character flaunting the fashions of the times. I had Netflix and HBO through my Amazon account, and started watching the subtitled Season 1, and Season 2 episodes as they came out. I started reading the Neapolitan Novels of Elena Ferrante that the series was based on (the first book pictured), and I am now on the 3rd novel, thanks to my library (before it closed) and my local bookstore (they deliver). Highly recommended. Great acting, Beautiful to watch. Very slow, moving, and thoughtful.
